"Incredibly awesome book! This author never disappoints me!" - Charissa from Joy in the Moments
"I was, from beginning to end, pulled into the dynamics of this book. It felt so real and emotional. I really had a hard time pulling myself away from this story and these characters. Bottom line I loved it. - Aimee Brown from Getting Your Read On
The Girl in Seat 24B eBook Jennifer Peel
This book was not what I expected. The Girl in Seat 24B was an enjoyable ride of frustration. I wanted to strangle Michael most of the book, but I couldn't put the story down. I actually didn't until my kindle died which was about 1:30 am. As soon as it was charged in the morning I had to finish it. Carly is a sweet naive loving wife who wanted nothing more than to be a loving wife and mom. Then the bottom fell out of her world. She handled herself with grace and dignity during the most trying time of her life. Michael is an ambitious journalist/writer who gets his priorities all out of wack. The roller coaster ride this book takes you on will make you laugh, cry, and really want to scream.I have read other books by Jennifer Peel, after read this one she is now one of my auto-buy authors. I can't wait for her next one.

The Girl in Seat 24B eBook Jennifer Peel Reviews
Jennifer Peel is one of my new favorite authors. I loved how the book started out with Michael's perspective of meeting Carly. Carly's perspective takes up most of the rest of the book and you can't help but fall in love with her. She lives life with a charming zest for life and loves her kids in a beautiful way. I just loved her. The only downside to this book is that you can't stop reading it once you've started. The way the author writes this book, you feel like Carly is your friend and you can't help feeling all the emotions she is feeling. I cried a lot during this book, but I loved it so much. Definitely read this book!!!!
This story deals with some tough issues, and I found it refreshingly real and off the traditional romantic plot track of superficial lusty relationships, overly lacking in thoughtful choices and true experiences and interactions that lead to closeness and real relationship intimacy. No one was a doormat. No one was blind or acting out of idiocy or obliviousness. It was not overlaid and pinned to plot points like intimate make-out at 50%, artificial heaven 60%, wrench in the works 70%, finally they communicate enough to get the obvious love out into the open 90%. Yet, the story kept my complete interest and had satisfying emotional variety and resolutions.
This one was hard for me to read in many ways, because so much of it brings resonant echoes to moments from my own history-- only my story doesn't have the same type of happy ending. Of course, there is more than one way for us to look back upon the tapestry of our existence and know that things are precisely for the best, and are blessings.
I did find myself wondering how she could have written this story so well, without having experienced it herself. It was surprising to be reminded once again that we are not alone in our trials, but these things truly are common to mankind. I was glad to see the ending. It was entirely plausible, and I'm happy for the heroine. It's amazing what the power of personal choice can being into our lives, and all of those lives within our personal spheres. Where our hearts and desires lie, and the choices we make as a result, make all of the difference.
This was a clean story without ignoring the realities of sweet marital intimacy and the messiness of childbirth, but maintaining the personal privacy of the characters. It was classy and the characters had high moral standards. I also found it refreshing that while the road was rough, there was no cheating.
I was competely satisfied with this purchase and will continue to read works by this author. I have, yet, to be disappointed.
This book looked interesting, but it wouldn't have made it to the top of my "to read" list without the recommendation from Kathy from iamareader.com. I am very glad that I chose to read it. The story quickly drew me in, and I became invested in the characters and their story. It is a very deep, emotional story, and my heart broke for Carly and her kids, and even a little for her husband. I wouldn't wish Carly's experience on anyone, but know that people do experience such things. Carly's example makes me want to be a better wife.
There were a few editing errors, and the phrase "shook her head yes" drove me a little crazy, but the book was good enough for those to only be minor distractions.
I look forward to reading other books by Jennifer Peel.
Content Clean - couple mild swear words, some more mature themes
This is a clean, well written, heartfelt book about down-to-earth dealings with real life problems. The prologue absolutely HOOKED me!! I couldn't help but worry that the new level of his commitment at the end was going to cause him to resent her again. Could he really unselfishly keep that up? She trusted him again before I did, but she already loved him. I only got his "Bishop" moments (her nickname for him in happier times) in flashbacks while he was showing all of his glaring "Michael" colors through most of the book. He only got serious about her again when his emotional ineptitude left her feeling that divorce would be a relief to have him out of her life. Having said all of that, the outcome was very uplifting and positive. Sincere and permanent change is possible--that's what repentance and forgiveness are all about! I'm grateful and humbled for the emotional roller coaster Ms. Peel took me on to read this book.
